DEVONthink Personal may be all you need I use the Pro version because I want multiple databases. Use CrashPlan to back it up to the Cloud and save $60/year. Artificial Intelligence makes its search function incredibly powerful. It's a powerful database that can ingest and display almost any kind of file out there. Use it for that and you won't need to pay for extra storage.ĭevonTHINK- It's similar to Evernote without the Cloud storage. Also FWIW, I'm not a pro photographer - its a hobby and I find I take a lot of snapshots these days just on iPhone while the nice Sony prosumer camera stays comfy in its bag.ĭropbox- It's for syncing, not long-term storage. Any thoughts on streamlining this a bit whether I use Mylio or not? It just feels like I've got some overlap and some in-efficencies. iCloud has issues with it, Dropbox isn't supported as its file system is not compatible. I back up my Mac mini, and my external drive which I use for Time Machine backups and my Photos library.Īs I mentioned, I'm 24 hours into playing with Mylio - I like what it does in concept, but to utilize its "cloud" feature - looks like for now Amazon Cloud Drive or Google Drive are the only options that work. $60/yearĬrashPlan for "Backup" - another annual fee.įrom my online searching - Crashplan seems to really be great for Backups and leave it at that. FREEĮvernote for personal documents such as wills, copies of passports, etc. $2.99/monthĭropBox - I use for personal and work stuff - less photo related. ICloud - I have 200GB for when i was using Photos Cloud Library. I use the following for different forms of storage, sharing and protection: I also have a 13" MBP I like to use for photo management tasks remotely. I do a lot of my photo work at my desk on a Mac mini 2012. its to make sure I'm not overdoing it with iCloud, Dropbox, CrashPlan, etc. My question developed yesterday as I started to clean-up my Photos library and also tinker with Mylio a bit. Hello - haven't posted on here in quite some time.
